As fellow members of the Cruising Yacht Club of Tasmania, we are pleased to share a pair of special offers available exclusively to CYCT members. You may have come across us aboard White Rose, she is moored in Kettering, and like many of you, we find great joy in time spent on the water and exploring remote coastlines.
Through our company, Polar Frontiers, we help travellers experience the polar regions — Antarctica and the Arctic — in comfort and with purpose. We specialise in small-ship expedition cruises and take pride in offering thoughtful, end-to-end support — from selecting the right voyage to handling all the travel arrangements.
We’ve put together two exclusive member-only savings for Antarctic voyages. Details are below — but if you have another ship or itinerary in mind, we’d love to help you find the right fit and take care of the planning.

Itinerary: Voyage to Antarctica – 12 Days
Offer: AUD 500 off per person
Book by: 31 January 2026
Travel aboard one of National Geographic’s flagship polar vessels, the Resolution or Endurance, on a 12-day expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula. These small, purpose-built ships offer a comfortable and capable platform for exploration, carrying just 138 guests.
This voyage begins with a night in Buenos Aires or Santiago (depending on ship), followed by a flight to Ushuaia. From there, cross the Drake Passage and spend your days exploring the Peninsula — with landings by Zodiac, wildlife encounters, and guided walks. Expect to see penguin colonies, seals hauled out on ice, and possibly whales feeding nearby.
Onboard, you’ll enjoy engaging lectures, exceptional meals, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere designed for learning and connection.
Itinerary: Spirit of Terra Nova – 11 Days aboard RMS St Helena
Offer: AUD 500 off per person
Book by: 31 January 2026
This 11-day voyage aboard the RMS St Helena offers a more expedition style of travel, ideal for travellers looking to spend more time off the ship exploring and gaining knowledge, rather than staying onboard. With only 98 guests, RMS St Helena has the feel of a small community at sea, while still providing access to Antarctica’s dramatic landscapes and wildlife.
With fewer passengers, this vessel can land everyone ashore at the same time, maximising the time for exploration. Typically, two excursions are scheduled each day, either on land or by zodiac. These smaller expedition style ships are able to venture where other ships can not, the itinerary can be kept more flexible and adaptable, allowing for spontaneous wildlife opportunities.
The voyage includes landings along the Antarctic Peninsula, Zodiac cruises, and expert-led presentations. For those looking to experience Antarctica from a different perspective, there’s also the option to sail aboard the Icebird — an 8-passenger, aluminium expedition yacht that offers day trips during your time in Antarctica.
