The worlds first luxury Icebreaker…

Named after the renowned polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot, Le Commandant Charcot is a marvel of modern exploration. This vessel features PC2 icebreaking capabilities, allowing it to venture deep into the Arctic. Sustainability is a priority on this pioneering ship, which is the first hybrid-electric polar exploration vessel powered by environmentally friendly liquified natural gas. There are no plastic bottles onboard; drinking water is provided by a desalination system, and advanced systems recycle waste heat and treat wastewater.

Accommodating up to 245 guests with 215 crew members, Le Commandant Charcot offers personal and attentive service. The interiors are tastefully stylish, providing impressive levels of comfort. Dining is exceptional, with Nuna serving signature dishes by Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse, and Sila offering a more relaxed and informal dining experience. Guests can enrich their journey with expert-led Zodiac excursions and activities such as kayaking, dog sledding, snowshoeing, polar diving, and ice fishing.
