Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Reykjavik

Arrive in the Icelandic capital and make your own way to your included hotel. You will have the day to explore the city on your own.

Day 2 Fly Longyearbyen, Svalbard and Embark

This morning, the group will transfer to the airport and board a private charter flight to Longyearbyen, the largest township on Spitsbergen. As the ship sets sail, take in your first view of the island’s rugged, glacier-topped mountains rising majestically from the icy waters.

Day 2 Embarkation Day

This afternoon, board the vessel and set off on your expedition to Greenland. Get ready for a great adventure ahead!

Day 3 At Sea

Cruise north across the Denmark Strait, the Expedition Team will prepare you for the adventures ahead. Delve into the rich history and politics of the Arctic, learn about its fascinating wildlife, geology, ecology, and climate, and get a preview of the incredible sights you will soon encounter.

Days 4 - 10 Exploring Northeast Greenland

During your exploration of Greenland’s remote northeast coast, embark on Zodiac cruises and make shore visits to various locations. Keep an eye out for grazing muskoxen, as 40 percent of the world’s population resides in Northeast Greenland National Park.

As you sail through the breathtaking Scoresby Sund, the birthplace of many icebergs, you will quickly understand why it’s considered one of the most beautiful fjord systems in the world. Locations like Frederiksdal and Sydkap offer chances to explore the vibrant tundra and ancient Thule settlement remnants.

At the entrance of the sound lies Ittoqqortoormiit, East Greenland’s northernmost community. Here, you can interact with the Inuit people and learn about their way of life. On clear nights, you might even witness the northern lights. Further into the sound, Rode O provides a stunning setting with sky-blue icebergs set against striking red sandstone cliffs.

Spectacular views also await at Kong Oscar Fjord, with potential landings at Ella D, known for its rugged cliffs and ice-filled waters, and Botanikerbugt on Ymer D, famous for its flower-rich landscapes. Experience the marvels of nature in Segelsällskapets Fjord, where you’ll be treated to a spectacular display of “geological art”: layers of limestone and dolomite stretching before you, forming a stunning canvas shaped over tens of thousands of years.

Day 11 At Sea

As your Arctic adventure comes to a close, enjoy presentations by the onboard experts, share your photos, sip a chilled cocktail in the bar, or watch a movie—there are plenty of activities to keep you engaged during your time at sea. The Expedition Team will be available to answer any questions and whilst on the lookout for wildlife.

Day 12 Depart from Reykjavik

Disembark after breakfast and take the group transfer to downtown Reykjavik or the Airport for your onward flight.
