FW Arrive Buenos Aires, Argentina

Arrive at Ezeiza International airport and transfer to your hotel. Buenos Aires is elegantly European and a little rough around the edges. Take sometime today to wander the city and enjoy the architecture and cafe culture of this vibrant city.

Day 2 Fly Ushuaia, depart for the Falkland Islands

Depart to the Airport this morning for the flight to Ushuaia, the capital of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego province, and your gateway to the White Continent.

Known as “El fin del mundo” or “the end of the world,” the city is set against a backdrop of towering mountains and fertile plains, Ushuaia is a haven for wildlife and nature enthusiasts. Here, the Andes plunge straight into the sea, creating a stunning landscape that invites exploration and wonder.

Late this afternoon, board your ship and set sail, an incredible journey awaits!

Day 3 At Sea

The Expedition Leader will first present the IAATO rules of conduct that must be observed during landings in the region and will explain everything you need to know about the zodiac outings. During the journey at sea, indulge in the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape at the fitness centre. Depending on the season, you can enjoy a swim in the pool or some sunbathing. This voyage without a port of call also offers the opportunity to attend lectures or shows, or you can explore the boutique for some shopping. Meet the photographers in their dedicated space for a unique perspective on your adventure. For those who love the open sea, the ship’s upper deck offers stunning views of the waves and the chance to spot marine species. Enjoy an enchanted interlude, blending comfort, relaxation, and entertainment.

Day 4 Falkland Islands

Navigate through the turbulent Woolly Gut strait and emerge in the serene beauty of Grave Cove. Located on the northern edge of the Falkland Islands, this bay is named after the whalers’ graves overlooking the beach. As you step off the boat onto the white-sand shore, you might be accompanied by a few friendly commerson’s dolphins. A stroll along the dunes leads to a vast plain of lush green grass, dotted with sheep. On the other side of the island, discover one of the largest gentoo penguin colonies in the area. With some luck, you might also spot a sea lion scouring the waves for his next meal.

New Island, with its distinctive jagged relief, is located on the western edge of the Falkland Islands and is home to a tiny village of just two families. Land onto the golden sand beaches, where an old stone house still stands, and you’ll feel like you’ve entered a natural paradise. A narrow pathway winds through typical Falkland moorlands. Follow it, and in under 20 minutes, you will find yourself at the heart of a colony of southern rockhopper penguins, black-browed albatrosses, and imperial shags. Watch the albatrosses swoop down from the cliffs and skim the waves as they crash against the rocks on the exposed side of the island.
